Using copper sinks in your kitchen or bathroom will create a cleaner and safer living environment. Copper's natural anti-microbial property quickly kills bacteria and viruses, including E. Coli.
The look of copper provides an extraordinary match for natural surfaces, such as wood and stone.
Copper is a highly durable metal which does not tarnish or rust and requires very little maintenance.

The majority of our sinks are completely handmade in INDIA. They are created by artisans who shape copper that has been heated in a wood-fired forge. The intricate painting, silver etching and turnasol firing are all produced delicately by artists.
Our hand-finished items are manufactured in India. These sinks are shaped by press and then hand-hammered to complete the design, give detail, and individuality to each vessel. Decoration on the exterior such as mosaics are all done carefully by hand.

Because each sink is hand-crafted no two are identical, however they are similar enough to put side by side.
The slight variation in every sink is the customer's guarantee that their vessel is handmade and unique.
The dimensions can vary 1/2" in either direction.

Due to the slight variations in our hand crafted sinks we highly recommend that you wait to cut your countertop until you receive your sink.

An extraordinary quality of copper is that it has a living finish which does not tarnish. The patina it develops with time and use will give it a deeper and richer color. If the customer prefers polished copper please see maintenance below to direct them in how to care for their sink.
Nickel and Pewter are highly resistant to tarnish. The minimal amount of maintenance will ensure that no oxidization occurs.

Seven types of metals are used in our vessels: copper, pewter, nickel, brass, bronze, stainless steel, and sterling silver accents.

ARTIFACT’ metal sinks are easy to care for. You only need to wash the vessel with soap, water, and a NON-ABRASIVE cloth or sponge.
A high quality automobile wax will slow the patina process. If a brilliant copper finish is desired, clean the sink with Wright’s Copper Cream™.
Waxing can protect all metal finishes not just copper. Re-wax when the water stops beading.

There are four different mounting methods that we recommend: Vessel mount, partial mount, drop-in, and undermount.
Many of our sinks can be mounted using all four methods, providing flexibility for you to achieve the look you want. For mounting recommendations contact ARTIFACT or a distributor.
For undermounting use mounting clips.
A 2-4" depth is recommended for partial drop-ins.
A spacer ring is recommended when mounting all metal sinks.

ARTIFACT bathroom sinks are made for standard 1 1/2" lavatory, no overflow drains. Our kitchen sinks have a 3 1/2" drain size.
Spacer rings are a necessity for our thin metal sinks.
We carry drains in finishes to match our sinks.
